Exciting news! Jade will be appearing on the season finale of Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn! The episode also stars Tia Mowry who you might remember from Disney’s Sister Sister or Twitches and three time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas. As of now we don’t have an air date for the episode, but I’m super excited to see it when it airs!
The season finale, titled “The Wonderful Wizard of Quads,” finds a hometown celebrity (Tia Mowry-Hardrict) returning to Boulder, Colo., to direct the local production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The Quads know these are the roles they were born to play, but when Dawn does not get the part of Dorothy, she goes on a mission to prove that she deserves the part over a theater diva (Jade Pettyjohn).
The episode also will feature two original songs performed by Greene and Pettyjohn.
The School of Rock will be in session for another year. Nickelodeon has picked up a supersized 20-episode third season of the popular musical comedy series based on the 2003 Paramount movie. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2017.
The pickup comes as the series, developed by Jim and Steve Armogida, is heading toward its Season 2 finale on January 28. Originally ordered straight-to-series, School of Rock landed a quick 13-episode Season 2 renewal four episodes into its 12-episode freshman run. A solid ratings performer, the series is averaging 1.4 million total viewers in its second season, and is posting double-digit year-over-year increases with its kid audience. In Q4, it ranks as one of the top five shows on all TV with kids 6-11.
The new season will continue to mix comedy with cast performances of popular and original songs. Tony Cavalero stars as the teacher, Jama Williamson plays the principal, and Ricardo Hurtado, Lance Lim, Aidan Miner, Jade Pettyjohn and Breanna Yde co-star as the School of Rock students. Jim and Steve Armogida serve as executive producers with Jay Kogen. Richard Linklater, who directed the Jack Black-starring feature from a script by Mike White, also executive produces alongside the movie’s producer Scott Rudin and Eli Bush.
School Of Rock joins two other Nick series that were recently renewed, Dan Schneider’s Henry Danger and Game Shakers.
School Of Rock marked the first series order for Paramount TV and is the first to go to a third season. The studio recently saw its new Epix drama series Berlin Station renewed for a second season, and fellow newbie, drama Shooter, has been a breakout for USA.
Huge congrats to the cast and crew!!

Saturday night was an exciting night for Jade and the cast of School of Rock. They got to attend the Creative Arts Emmy Awards where they were nominated for Outstanding Children’s Program! Jade got to get all dressed up and walk the red carpet and then watch the show with her cast. Unfortunately, they didn’t win, but they all had a great time regardless. I’ve added some photos of Jade rocking the red carpet to the gallery. Check those out below!
Moving on! Last night, Jade and her fellow SOR castmates attended the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards. As per usual, Jade looked amazing. I’ve added 11 photos to the gallery and will add more if they appear.
Thanks to Child Starlets, I’ve added screencaps from episode five of School of Rock to the gallery.
Jade along with her friend and School of Rock co-star Breanna Yde recently sat down with Just Jared Jr. to talk about music and of course, School of Rock!
JustJaredJr: What were you doing/where were you when you found out you got the role on School of Rock?
Breanna Yde: I was in San Diego going to get lunch when I found out I got the role in Nickelodeon’s School Of Rock.
Jade Pettyjohn: Oh this is a funny story. I was at school in class and my teacher came up and told me that I needed to call my mom right away, which isn’t normal, so I was already thinking that something was wrong. When I stepped out to call her she said “Jade Elizabeth Pettyjohn” and who doesn’t freak out thinking they are in trouble when their mom uses your middle name? My heart was pounding wondering what I did and there was this long silence until she finally said “YOU BOOKED IT!”
I have some exciting news! School of Rock has been renewed for season two! Huge congrats to Jade and the rest of the cast and crew!!
Just weeks after its debut, “School of Rock” has landed a second season at Nickelodeon, Variety has confirmed.
The series, inspired by the 2003 Jack Black movie of the same name, premiered on March 12 and has aired four episodes. Season 2 will consist of 13 episodes.
Paramount TV produces the kids’ musical comedy show, which marked the first series order for the television division of Paramount Pictures, which was behind the original film.
“School of Rock” follows musician-turned-substitute teacher Dewey (Tony Cavalero), who becomes the most unique and well-liked teacher a group of students have ever had. Although he has an alternative approach to teaching and could probably learn more from his students about history or math, he uses the language of rock ‘n’ roll to elevate and inspire his class to reach new heights as the band called School of Rock.
Ricardo Hurtado, Lance Lim, Aidan Miner, Jade Pettyjohn and Breanna Yde star as the “School of Rock” students. Jim and Steve Armogida (“Crash & Bernstein,” “My Family”) are exec producers, along with Jay Kogen, Eli Bush, plus Scott Rudin and Richard Linklater, who produced and directed the original film, respectively.
Thanks to ChildStarlets.com I’ve added screencaps of Jade from episode two of School of Rock. I absolutely loved this episode. It was full of laughs, and Jade got to show off some stunt work! 😉 Check out the screencaps in the gallery now and the full episode on Nick’s official website.
